Free Taster 9 December 7.30-8.30 pm
The Pilates course is six week and is very focused on the combination of Pilates and Physiotherapy – it is primary catered towards pre-natal care as to help with injuries due the extra strain body has to sustained during pregnancy and for women looking to strengthen themselves for the birth. It is also useful for women suffering with any pains and aches during their trimesters.
Pilates works to strengthen your stomach, back and pelvic floor without straining other joints, making it a great exercise to do when you’re pregnant. Strong abdominal muscles help support your back and can decrease the likelihood of backaches and pains. Doing pilates regularly can also be as effective as doing pelvic floor exercises as well as helping build your overall strength in a safe practice for you and your baby.
The course will be tailored to your individual requirements and challenges of your pregnancy and will include a Physiotherapy assessment. Further, the course will also include a booklet with exercises to do at home.
Keeping active during your pregnancy is a vital part to help achieve a swift recovery after birth and to minimise strength loss.
