DISCHARGE LOUNGE + CHRISTMAS = FUN (Support from BANJAXELD & THE ROYAL GOOD INSTITUTE OF MUSIC)
Thursday at 20:30
20 Cowgate, NR3 1SY Norwich, Norfolk
Free Christmas Crackers to enjoy!
Following their successful Halloween shindig Discharge Lounge are back for another of those annual occasions where everyone drunks up and gets dressed.
They wear costumes! They play different genres! They have an unnecessary amount of instruments! They have trouble all fitting on a stage at the same time!
Expect funk songs about yorkshire puddings and monkeys, calypso songs about Jesus and political apathy, jazz songs about the police and a sea shanty/doo-wop mash-up for good measure.
A four piece band of singers/songwriters/musicians writing original music that's roots/blues influenced spiced with funk/island/jazz rhythms.
Teamed with intelligent lyrics, strong vocal harmonies and an eclectic mix of musical influences the people in Banjaxeld are happy to let the music do the talking while they have fun with the audience.
And with the flexibility of being able to play fully amped with drum kit or acoustic styled performances with hand percussion, Banjaxeld have something for all occasions from festivals and venues to private affairs.
THE ROYAL GOOD INSTITUTE OF MUSIC
Both hilarious and informative the institute specialises in lectures on pop music past combining trivia, music and lots of audience interaction. Following the brilliant 90s and 00s lectures we are very much looking forward to hearing the best of pop music circa 2003.
