Forum Open Air Screen

FREE OPERA, FILMS AND SPORT
Fri 3 - Sun 5 Jul

A three day programme of FREE opera, films, sport and activities outside The Forum on our new look Open Air Screen.

No need to book; just turn up with your own chair, cushion, flask and perhaps even a blanket - even the best British summer's day can be chilly as the sun goes down.


The Open Air Screen is brought to you by The Forum and is sponsored by Get Into Summer, Active Norfolk, Norfolk County Council, CarShop and Norwich Business Improvement District.


Fri 3 July - Wimbledon / Midday - 4pm

A gentle start to the three day programme! Spend the afternoon watching live action from Wimbledon. You can either sit on the steps or relax in Marzano outside cafe, glass of something cold in hand.



Fri 3 July - Paddington (PG)* / 4.30pm - 6pm

We're showing Paddington at 4.30pm. Come as early as you can after school - the  children will love the Active Norfolk and CarShop sports and competitions.

Tea time is sorted, with pizzas, wraps, noodles and other dishes from Feast on the Street.


Fri 3 July - Don Giovanni / 7pm - 10pm

FREE, live opera outside The Forum to start Norwich's Lord Mayor's Celebrations weekend in style.

Mozart's Don Giovanni is being broadcast live from the Royal Opera House. While you're watching in Norwich thousands will be doing the same in towns and cities around the country.


Sat 4 Jul - Tour de France / 9am - Midday

Enjoy the Tour de France action on Saturday morning. This epic race runs from 4 Jul to 26 Jul and will cover a total distance of 3,344 kilometres (before ratification).


Sat 4 Jul - Lord Mayor's Live Stage / Midday - 10pm

It's Lord Mayor's Celebration weekend in Norwich and Saturday is the big day. Midday sees the start of ten hours of music, dance and comedy on the Forum Stage outside The Forum, relayed live to the Open Air Screen, so no-one misses a thing!

The Forum Stage programme is at this link on the Norwich City Council website.

Expect big crowds, good music and fabulous dance and theatre, a spectacular procession and late night fireworks.
