Norwich Pride 2015

Norwich Pride 2015

Norwich Pride is a celebration from the LGBT community for everyone. Our mission is to ensure that Norwich is a city where everyone can feel safe and proud to be themselves. Norwich Pride is a grass-roots, do-it-yourself celebration organised by a collective of friendly, creative & enthusiastic volunteers.

25 July 2015 : The 7th Norwich Pride!

The 2015 Norwich Pride will take place on Saturday, 25 July 2015.

10am onwards Stalls at The Forum, Millennium Plain

The Pride Village will have over 40 stalls inside the Forum and outside on Millennium Plain. Look out for the Norwich Pride Help Desk where you can find up-to-date information on the day. We’ll also have a Norwich Pride Shop, where you can get your rainbow goodies.

Join us for the Opening Ceremony at the Forum! The ceremony is BSL signed.

Bring your family, friends and a picnic and relax in Chapelfield Gardens as we entertain you from the bandstand in the run-up to this year’s Pride Parade!

The “Faith In Pride” picnic is starting from 1pm. See www.facebook.com/events/1608075482806956/ for details.

2pm The Parade

Join us as we follow the Norwich Samba Band and bring rainbows to the heart of Norwich. We start at Chapelfiield Gardens, then pass the Theatre Royal before parading along Gentlemen’s Walk. We turn left up Gaol Hill before passing in front of City Hall where we arrive ready to enjoy the Pride Show on Millennium Plain. Click here for details of the route!

3 – 5pm Pride Show on Millenium Plain

From the island of Ibiza to the club scene in Norwich, we welcome the lovely Jacqui to host this year’s Pride show.
Whether you have partied with her in the night or seen her sass during the day, we promise that the stage will have your attention locked for the whole afternoon.

Sing with Pride are joining with other community choirs and singers from across the county to bring us an Abba Mash-Up!

Rosebud is a new Drag and Burlesque themed night. This rag-tag band of queens are taking the Norwich night scene by storm and will be taking to the Pride stage to give you a big, fat taste of what to expect from a night at Rosebud. Expect beards and beauty. Giving face, lacking taste, looks to kill and (hairy) legs for days. Party and play, sashay and slay.

Parallel Dance Studios will be taking to the Pride stage to perform street and contemporary dance routines and their own version of Chandelier. They are really looking forward to performing at Pride this year and hope the crowd will be shaking their stuff too.

British singer-songwriter Mila Falls is really looking forward to performing her new single I Wanna Know at Norwich Pride – it’s a song she wrote with producer Marc Vedo (Boy George’s best mate). Her song Oh My was a Smash Of The Week on BBC 1Xtra and Mila’s career has taken her on adventures recently supporting Ella Eyre, Van Morrison, UB40, Ringo Starr, Rick Astley and VV Brown. With two tours of Ibiza in the calendar, 2015 is set to be a big year for Mila!

This year’s Pride Show sound will be provided by Pig & Rig who will also be running a BBQ!
