Join Marcus Dickey Horley for a talk about the extraordinary life of artist Francis Bacon. The talk will be pitched at an introductory level, explaining Bacon to new audiences who are possibly unfamiliar with his work, and who want to get a better understanding of how he worked, how to read his paintings, and how his life as a gay man had an influence on his chosen subject matter. We will also identify who his partners were, and will look at how these men also made appearances in his paintings.
This is a free talk as part of Pride week but all places must be pre-booked please.
Those booking onto the talk will be able to purchase an £8 ticket to see Francis Bacon and the Masters between 7-8pm. Please call 01603 593199 to book your ticket to be collected from Gallery Reception. Please advise gallery reception of any last minute cancellations as this will be a popular event and unwanted tickets can be allocated to a waiting list.
