A photographic project creating a portrait of the people who live and work on Magdalen Street in Norwich.
Magdalen Street is a particularly multicultural part of the city and has a diverse range of businesses and shops.
Katherine Mager, the artist, says:
I live on Magdalen Road, so this is my home, my area. I walk down the street nearly everyday. I know the shops and some of the shop owners well and wish to bring all of these people together in an exhibition to celebrate this diverse and vibrant street.
Another interesting aspect of the street is that it is constantly changing, new shops open and close and there is currently a large redevelopment project. There is emphasis on regeneration and retaining heritage. Now is a perfect opportunity to create a portrait of this street and its community.
