WOMEN REACHING WOMEN

The Forum
Everyone is welcome to join in a colourful, motivational day of music, art, costumes, crafts, food and story-telling, connecting the different lives and cultures of women living in Norfolk. This free, multi-cultural celebration at The Forum, Norwich, is just one of thousands of events taking place around the globe to mark International Women’s Day (IWD) 2016.
The theme of this year’s Women Reaching Women event in Norwich is Different Lives, Different Stories and men and women of all ages, religions and cultures are welcome to come along.

International Bazaar
Explore the different cultures that make up Norfolk’s communities by browsing the stalls on the International Bazaar. Genuine gifts and crafts from Africa, India and more.
Different Lives, Different Clothes
Try on clothes from Africa, India and the Middle East. Learn how to wear a hijab and then try it on and take a selfie. And have you ever worn a burkha? Now's your chance.
Food Stories
Bring your favourite recipes along and hang them on the recipe tree. Chose something that reminds you of childhood, a visit to another country or one of your family's favourites.
Your Story, My Story
Everyone who comes along to Different Lives, Different Stories can tell their own stories, through talking, writing or drawing in the Your Story, My Story area. It’s your life and your choice.
Health and Wellbeing
Other stories will be told through music, singing, dance, food crafts and quizzes. Find people to talk to in the Wellbeing Café area and even book yourself a free health check or massage.
Quilting
Join the talented women from Eripingham with Calthorpe WI to help create a huge community 'Women Reaching Women' quilt. Anyone can take part. You don't need any experience. Please do join in.
