Shawl Hugs Group

Shawl Hugs 2016

The Missing Shoe, 21 Castle Meadow, Norwich, NR1 3DH
10.30am-12noon on the following dates:
-31st March
-14th April
-28th April
-12th May

This is a group for people who are making, or who would like to make shawls for the Shawl Hugs project. Shawls are made for people who are going through a tough time - they may be experiencing physical or mental health problems, going through bereavement or struggling in some way.

This group is suitable for absolute beginners through to experienced crafters. There will be yarn, needles and patterns available as well as help on hand for people who want to begin knitting or crocheting. Shawl Hugs is not just about making shawls, but making them by crafting love and healing into the stitches, so that the people who receive them will feel hugged and comforted by them.

This event is run in a beautiful room owned by the charity the Missing Kind. In order to keep the project sustainable, we request a kind donation from you on the day. For this event, please donate one of the following:
• Money - donate what you can afford.
• Items - cake or biscuits, toilet paper (ideally FSC certified/recycled) or a box of tea bags (any inc herbal).
• Time - two hours of expert help on Wordpress
