Dying Matters event

Dying Matters event: The Big Conversation
Thursday 12th May, 10am-3pm
The Forum, Norwich

As may know, for the last four years the Lord-Lieutenant Richard Jewson and the Norfolk and Suffolk Palliative Care Academy have hosted the very successful Dying Matters event in the Forum in Norwich.

This year’s event, themed “The Big Conversation”, will be hosted by Healthwatch Norfolk and will reflect our recent findings on the barriers to advanced care planning. Our new report highlights that people living in Norfolk feel that it is very important to talk about the issues and concerns they may have about the end of life.

In addition to the many stall holders who are attending, we are also running 4 workshops (see below). Please
contactrachel.morris@healthwatchnorfolk.co.uk in order to reserve your place. Please tell us the name of the workshop(s) you wish to attend and provide us with contact details (email/telephone no) so we can confirm your place or let you know if anything changes. We will not use your details for anything else.

Workshop 1 – 10:45-11:30am Conversation with your funeral celebrant Carol Bundock
Workshop 2 – 11:30-12:15 - Conversation with a GP
Workshop 3 -12:15-1pm - Conversation with Cruse Bereavement
Workshop 4 – 1pm-1:45pm - Conversation with a solicitor: legal matters with Robert Chambers

The event is being held at The Forum in Norwich from 10am.
