Chloe Smith - Why bother with politics and parliament?

Speaker: Chloe Smith, Conservative MP Norwich North

Chloe Smith has served as a Minister in Her Majesty’s Treasury and at the Cabinet Office, as well as Government Whip, making her one of the youngest Ministers in British history. Chloe leads the Norwich for Jobs campaign which aims to halve youth unemployment in Norwich in two years. She is currently working closely with local and national partners to promote youth engagement in politics. She is a member of the Commons Transport Select Committee and also campaigns for improved rail services in East Anglia. Chloe grew up in Norfolk and lives in Norwich. She went to comprehensive schools in West Norfolk, followed by York University, and she formerly worked for Deloitte. She is a charity volunteer and a patron and supporter of many Norwich and Norfolk organisations.
