The free Dragon Hall debates, held jointly by the University of East Anglia and Writers’ Centre Norwich, are tackling a range of topical issues this season, including Prof Mary Beard discussing her experience of Twitter trolls.
The first event is on Monday 12 September, when philosopher Heather Widdows from the University of Birmingham examines why the demand for cosmetic surgery is rising and nurse specialist Sharron Brown explains how the NHS is responding to people’s aesthetic needs.
The six debates will be held between 12 September 2016 and 13 March 2017 at Writers’ Centre Norwich, Dragon Hall, 115-123 King Street, Norwich. They will start at 7pm and run until around 9pm. The events are free to attend and there is no need to book in advance
