Wherry Trust Open Days

Norfolk Wherry Trust Open days to see the Albion 

The Albion, a Norfolk wherry, now 116 years old was built as a cargo carrying sailing barge and rescued by Norfolk Wherry Trust in 1949, and maintained in sailing condition by volunteers ever since. She has a vast black sail and her hull measures some 60' long by 15' wide. Voted 'runner up' Flagship of the Year by National Historic Ships in 2010, she recently featured in TV programmes hosted by Matt Baker and Giles Coren. Come and see the Broads icon that enchanted them.

When you join the library, you can use any Norfolk Library to

The young film makers of Norfolk are a talented lot and this is your chance to see what they’ve been up to.

Every year, on the Fusion Screen, we feature some of the best dramas, documentaries, music videos and animations made right here in Norfolk.
All the young people have worked with BBC Voices to develop their writing, filming and editing skills.

Come into Fusion to see this celebration of creativity.

BBC Voices is a media workshop and production unit for film, music and radio based at The Forum.

The team provides film making and radio editing workshops and sessions to individuals, groups, businesses, schools and colleges throughout the Eastern region.

You can see a wide range of films made by BBC Voices ‘graduates’ on the Norfolk on Film website. (norfolkonfilm.tumblr.com/)

FREE WELLBEING TASTER - MANAGING STRESS

Anyone affected by stress, anxiety or depression can visit an NHS wellbeing taster session in Norwich next week to see what is on hand.  Norfolk's Wellbeing services offer support to people who have mild to moderate problems such as anxiety stress and low mood. 

The aim is to reduce the onset of mental ill health, prevent deterioration and promote recovery by offering a range of flexible services.

Services include befriending, one-to-one counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy.
The event will give more information about services like stress control workshops, online or telephone support, group therapies and some short-term therapy or counselling.

 The Norfolk Wellbeing service works in partnership with both third sector and private sector organisations to provide a wide range of support.
