Cycle to work!
Fitness for Free -
Cycle to work!
Norwich is (relatively) flat, if you ignore gas hill, grapes hill or Kett's Hill!
Rediscover the truly invigorating and liberating experience of riding a bike and boost your health in the process. Figures show that about 42% of Britons own a bike. Whether you’re cycling to work, to school, to the shops or just for fun, the humble bicycle is an easy way to get more active.
Cycling to work is one of the easiest ways of fitting exercise into your day. It'll also save you money on petrol or public transport costs.
If you don’t have a bike, you may be able to get a cheap bike through the Cycle to Work scheme, or try your luck on Freecycle.

Central Programme of Free Walks available most days of the week (Sun - Fri) at various venues around Norwich and Central Norfolk.
What is a Health Walk? -
- A health walk is a short, locally held walk, where you are encouraged to walk at your own pace, but, if possible, slightly faster than normal.
- The aim of the health walks is to encourage and support people who are trying to increase their activity levels and lead a healthier lifestyle.
- Trained volunteers lead our walks, with leaders, where possible, at the front, middle and back of the group. The volunteers are on hand to support all walkers, whether you’re just starting out or have been walking regularly for a while.
- Health walks are 90 minutes and under and are supported by Fit Together, Walking for Health, The Ramblers & Macmillan Cancer Support.
- Walks above 90 minutes are supported by Norfolk County Council

Starting Point & Postcode: The Forum, between Theatre Street and Bethel Street, NR2 1BH
This is a pleasant ride mixing cycle paths and roads on the Norwich Cycle Network to allow you to see some of Norwich's finest sites.
